In Memory Samuel Millberry Symonds, 1941-1993

In memory of Samuel Millberry Symonds, May 15, 1941- September 9, 1993, beloved husband, adored father, and loyal friend. Sam was a man who loved wholeheartedly, unreservedly, and unconditionally. A good man, a consummate fisherman, and a golfer, whose loss of an eye, never diminished his joy in the game. He laughed often and loudly, and his good humor was contagious.

Sam loved everything about Brandreth and Shingle Shanty. He grew up there, fishing in Shingle Shanty Stream. He will always be part of the land he so loved and where he was always at peace.

Sam was our North Star, our anchor, and our memories have not dimmed with time. Twenty years have passed in the blink of an eye.

Sam, you would be proud of the honorable, talented adults all of your children have become- you taught them well. We love you, we miss you, and we will never forget you.

Deborah, Courtenay, Samantha and Sam Symonds
